About the KURAMOTO(蔵元の背景について) |
Kochi is one of the most dynamic regions in Japan, facing the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by the scenic Shikoku Mountains. Suigei literally means “The drunken whale” and is named after the magnificent king of the ocean roaming freely in the vast waters of the pacific. We make the best use of the characteristics of sake rice. Our sake enhances the five kinds of taste, sweet, hot, bitter, sour and astringent. You can surely enjoy our sake with various world cuisines.
This Kura or brewery was built in 1993. Ginjo premium sake is made in a temperature-controlled room.
Water is very important. We use water from the Kagami river which gushes out around the Tosayama area in the northern part of Kochi City. The water is crystal clear and good for sake brewing.
